Well, since my life could fill a couple pretty hefty books (you know the ones that that are huge and leather bound and make you feel like you’re about to fall either backward or forward when you’re trying to pull it off the shelf while balancing precariously on a step ladder in the back of some dimly lit room in a library no one’s heard of), here’s the short of it:

I was raised in a small town 90% of people I’ve met didn’t realize was an actual place, born in an even smaller “town” that 99% of people I’ve met thought I was joking when I mentioned it by name, and now live in a city that hopefully most in the world know–Edmonton.

My biggest passion in life is books. Full stop.

In my small town that people don’t know, some of my first memories are of my mother reading Harry Potter to my sisters and I as a bedtime story. Shortly after she started The Chamber of Secrets, annoyed that she wasn’t reading fast enough, I picked up the book myself and read on. And after that, there was no turning back. I read books like people draw or go skiing or bake. I could read for twelve hours straight and be content.

I also love to write, and I suppose, that is the reason you are here today, “listening” to me go on and on about my love of literature.

My authorship covers a variety of genres, but I mainly focus on contemporary fiction.
